Exterior House Painting

Exterior paint on the Eastside fails when it is rushed onto a damp, chalky wall or applied the day before a storm. GetHomeFix paints house bodies, trim and fascia with coatings meant for this rain, and we schedule the work around a dry window. Prep — washing, scraping, caulking, priming — is the job. The color is the last day. Most houses take 3–5 days once the weather cooperates.

What the project includes

  • A wash and a scrape, not a coat over mildew
  • Caulk and primer where the substrate needs them
  • Body color plus trim and fascia, or any one of those on its own
  • A schedule built around the forecast, not a start date we cannot finish
  • HOA color submissions where the neighborhood requires them

What matters on the Eastside

01

The dry window is the schedule

Paint that does not cure before the rain skins over and fails. We would rather move a week than coat a wall we know will peel.

02

Prep outranks the brand

A premium acrylic on a chalky, dirty board loses to a careful prep and a competent coating. Both matter. We do not skip the first to talk about the second.

03

Color is an HOA document

Mercer Island, Bellevue and Sammamish neighborhoods often sign off on exterior color. We submit the chip and wait. We do not paint a “close enough.”

Painting by city

Each city page covers the permit desk, the HOA habits and the conditions we actually meet at that address.

Power Washing & Surface Prep

A controlled wash before paint, stain or a siding repair — not a blasting session that scars cedar and drives water up under the lap.

How it works

Four steps from first call to final walkthrough

The same sequence on a repair or a full exterior.

01

Free consultation

Call or send the form. We schedule a visit at the house and confirm we cover the address.

02

Scope and fixed estimate

We measure, talk through materials, and hand you a written itemized price. That price is the price.

03

Permits and build

You typically pull the permit. We tell you what the city will look at, then run the job with one project manager.

04

Walkthrough

We walk the finished work with you, close the punch list, and go over the warranty terms for that project.

Questions

Before you call

How long does exterior painting take?
Most houses run 3–5 days depending on size, how much bare wood we find, and the weather. A full scrape on older cedar takes longer than a recoat on sound fiber cement.
Do you paint in winter?
Only inside a forecast and a temperature the coating allows. Deep winter is a bad promise. We will book the dry stretch instead of starting because the calendar said to.
Can painting wait until after new siding?
If the siding is being replaced, paint the new material, not the old. Factory-finished Hardie may not want a coat at all. We sequence this with the siding scope.
