Trim and Fascia Painting

Trim and fascia are where Eastside paint jobs actually die: the barge board in the weather, the window trim that checks, the fascia behind a gutter that overflowed. We paint them as their own scope or with the body of the house. If the wood is soft, we replace that piece — often with the siding or roofing crew — and then coat it. Paint on punk wood is a one-season disguise.

Included in this scope

  • Fascia, bargeboards, window and door trim, and exposed soffit edges
  • A probe for soft wood before any primer goes on
  • Replacement of rotten trim, priced when we find it, not buried in “prep”
  • A coating that can handle the exposure at the roof edge
  • Caulk only where it helps, not a bead that traps water in a joint

Details that change the result

01

Gutters tell on the fascia

If the gutter overflows, the fascia will fail again. We will point at the gutter and the roof edge while we are up there.

02

Soffits can be wood on purpose

A stained wood soffit against painted lap siding is a look we already build. We will not paint that soffit just because the truck is there.

03

Access is the cost

High gables need a real setup. The price is the height and the condition, not a per-foot fiction that ignores the ladder.

Questions

Before you call

Can you paint trim without the whole house?
Yes. That is this page. It is the right call when the body color is holding and the edges are not.
Will you replace fascia boards?
Yes, when they are soft. New wood or a more stable trim board, then primer and paint. If the roof edge is the reason they rotted, we loop in the roofing scope.
What sheen?
Trim usually wants a harder sheen than the body. We pick it with you on site, against the siding, in daylight.
