ROOFING

Roof Replacement, Repair and Inspections

Western Washington roofs fail at the valleys, the walls and the penetrations, not in the middle of a field of shingles. GetHomeFix replaces and repairs asphalt and metal roofs, and we install low-slope systems where the architecture is flat. A typical house is a one-to-three-day tear-off once the weather cooperates. The inspection page is the right start if you are not sure you need a new roof at all.

What the project includes

  • Tear-off to the deck, with rotten sheathing replaced when we find it
  • Underlayment, ice-and-water at eaves and valleys, and flashed walls
  • Asphalt architectural shingles or metal panels, specified in the estimate
  • Pipe boots, skylights and chimney flashing replaced, not reused blindly
  • A magnet sweep and a haul-off, not a driveway of nails

What matters on the Eastside

01

Moss is a symptom

Shade and needles hold water. We fix the drainage and the flashing, and we tell you what a maintenance rinse looks like, instead of only selling a chemical and leaving.

02

Walls and roofs are one leak

Kickout flashing at a roof-to-wall is how siding stays dry. If we are on the roof, we look at that joint. If we are residing, we look at the roof.

03

Weather picks the day

We do not tear off into a forecast we cannot close. The schedule in your estimate assumes a dry window, and we will move it rather than tent a wet house overnight.

Roofing by city

Each city page covers the permit desk, the HOA habits and the conditions we actually meet at that address.

How it works

Four steps from first call to final walkthrough

The same sequence on a repair or a full exterior.

01

Free consultation

Call or send the form. We schedule a visit at the house and confirm we cover the address.

02

Scope and fixed estimate

We measure, talk through materials, and hand you a written itemized price. That price is the price.

03

Permits and build

You typically pull the permit. We tell you what the city will look at, then run the job with one project manager.

04

Walkthrough

We walk the finished work with you, close the punch list, and go over the warranty terms for that project.

Questions

Before you call

How long does a roof replacement take?
Most single-family roofs take 1–3 days depending on size, pitch, layers and weather. A house with several dormers or a steep walkable pitch takes longer.
Do you work with insurance claims?
We document what we see and we will meet an adjuster on site. We do not inflate a scope to match a deductible story. If the roof is worn out rather than storm-damaged, we say that.
Can you repair instead of replace?
Yes, when the field of the roof has life left and the leak is a boot, a flashing or a valley. The repair page and the inspection are how we make that call.
